Rana cares to make a difference

Your Sleep Apnea Program

Quickly and easily expand your practice by learning how to screen and treat your snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients.

OSA is very common affecting 9% of middle-aged women and 24% of middle-aged men.

Dental appliance therapy is now recommended as primary treatment for patients diagnosed with mild to moderate OSA.

Your dental practice is perfectly set up to identify these patients and offer help. Offering this service is simple:

  • Update your medical history questionnaire. Include questions about snoring history and symptoms of untreated OSA.
  • Ask your dental technicians and hygienists to incorporate a few simple screening questions into their appointment times to identify patients who snore and those at risk for OSA.
  • Refer both snoring patients and those with a positive OSA screen to RANA for diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
  • If RANA's physician recommends a dental appliance, you can take the impressions for the recommended appliance and, if interested, insert the device and provide follow-up evaluation and care.
