Educational Activities
RANA provides educational activities that cover a wide range of topics including respiratory disease prevention, technologies to aid treatment and promotion of wellness.
Some of these activities include:
- Asthma education sessions for children and teens
- Smoking awareness campaigns for high schools
- Participation at wellness fairs and exhibitions
- Development of education programs for Regional Health Authority (RHA) groups and COPD patients in partnership with the Assiniboine RHA Chronic Disease Management Group
- Educational support for RHAs, RHA Case Coordinators and hospitals including:
- Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) education
- Spirometry testing for smoking cessation groups
- Aid in developing care plans for COPD and oxygen clients
- Education to the Home Care and Personal Care Home Program
- Roaring Adventures of Puff (RAP) Programs
