Through funding and employee resources, RANA supported the planning and delivery of this conference, which provides education to doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals involved in respiratory care.
RANA believes ongoing research is critical to understanding and improving the quality of life for those suffering from respiratory symptoms. We recently developed, funded and executed a three-year pilot project for Chronic Respiratory Disease Management in smaller Canadian communities.
The program was intended to develop a toolbox of respiratory care skills and processes that improves patient care and can be easily transferred to other primary care settings. The second key objective was to show how investment in the program lowers future healthcare costs, over a 10 – 20 year period.
